I know nothing about him because I don't follow baseball very close outside of the Red Sox, and even then I watch much less than I used to. This guys numbers are eye popping, but the history of Japanese pitchers coming over to MLB is pretty ugly. I'll wait and see til I anoint this guy. www.bsports.com/statsinsights/mlb/masahiro-tanaka-history-npb-pitchers

As a Sox fan I have to admit the Yankees have me worried. They now have good pitching to go along with all these big name hitters while we continue to look like Munchkin Land from the Wizard of Oz. I mean how are we suppose to get our shine on with them taking it all in the East? That's really what it's all about, sadly enough. If they stunk NOBODY would care.

Yanks worry me in the short term, yes. I just don't know how they manage to be equally strong in '16, '17 and beyond with aging vets, limited minor league talent AND a decreased amount of draft capital (money more so than picks.) What saves them is Toronto, Baltimore and TB appear to be heading towards continued win attrition.
