.The next 5 days will be causing most of us a lot of anxiety as we wait to see what Messrs. Abu and Terrell decide?Either or both could go PC 's way.Coolley wants someone to replace Batts.Abu has purportedly been the main target.Come and the minutes will be there. Many believe that Terrell is less of a need.I am not one of them.I do not want to see the Friars entering the 2014-2015 season with only Dunn,Austin and Fortune on the roster.I want Terrell and a point guard. There is still a solid chance that PC will gets these young men.
.lindsey and Chukwu having already commited is superb news.
.Chukwu gives PC a defensive rim protector like we have not seen for a long time.Huge (literally and figuratively) get.His addition will help in the attainment of a solid 4 man, since that guy won't have to worry about being an undersized 5 man (not to mention that CD will be on the roster that year also).
4. The BE is off to a great start on the recruiting trail . It shows that many stud hoopsters prefer being in a basketball- centric school situation, where they are the main focus .Impressive.
.Even if PC were to add no other recruits (that will not happen) ,this is what the Roster will look like for 2014-2015.CD and PC at the 5 ;Henton,Harris,Bullock,Lindsey (I do not expect Kofane to be there) at forward; and Dunn,Fortune and Austin in the backcourt.Pretty talented.Add a couple of studs to it ( be it Abu,Terrell, Bentil or others ) and it will be even better.
.Austin will be one of ( if not THE) the best Frosh in the BE this season.
.A big reason for my belief that PC will be a top BE team ,with an excellent shot for the 2014 NCAAs,is its experienced quality talent.Batts and Cotton are quality Seniors.Henton is a strong Junior. They have been through the wars and done well.
.The BE schedule is due out this week.Looking forward to seeing it and booking some trips up to Providence.
.Ed Cooley is a great recruiter, who has been a successful closer. But,much credit should go the the staff---- especially Bob Simon.
