And, good for Bynum if he gets that grad degree from Stanford...probably gonna need it when hoops as a profession isn't what he hopes.

It looks like Bynum may have found a good fit at Stanford: "Over the three-game trip, Spencer Jones led the offense at 14.7 points per game, while Raynaud added 13.3 points and 9.3 rebounds. Stojakovic's first games in a Cardinal uniform contributed 12.7 points per game, while Michael Jones finished the trip at 11.3 per game. Brandon Angel posted 9.3 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, while Jared Bynum was at 8.7 points and 6.3 assists." The full trip report can be found here: gostanford.com/news/2023/9/1/mens-basketball-mens-basketball-completes-foreign-tour.aspxI hope he has a good season, he always was a hot/cold player but he had some great performances in a Friar uniform.

Hoping that Bynum has found the best fit for him to excel during his final season of eligibility.
It was frustrating watching the apparent devolution of his game last season, particularly given the pre-season accolades that he garnered. What we'll never know whether Jared's decline is the result of directions (or lack thereof) provided by Cooley.

Aren't some of the PAC-12 teams headed to a different conference ... UCLA amongst them? They all are. PAC-12 is being dissolved. Most teams going to Big 10, Big 12. Bill Walton must be doubling up on his therapy appointments. Oregon State and Washington State were the only two that hadn't found a home for a while, but they're now going to the West Coast Conference. It's all about television.

I believe Stanford brought Bynum in to do some Bynum things here and there to mix it up knowing he can be a wild card. A look at their roster and statistics says they're about long wings to shoot threes, and while his free throw shooting percentage is strong...his 36% from field and 33% from 3 aren't going to get him a large portion of minutes at this point in Stanford's season regardless of his assists or potential to have a night...as a grad transfer.

He was a starter, got injured and missed 3-4 games, younger guys played well in his absence and he's not going to get his playing time back. Feel bad that this is the way it ends for jb.
