Happy for team, coaches, and enduring fan base. Toughed out a Tournament win and withstood the Jackrabbit surge. Congratulations Friars.

Thank the Lord!!!!! We needed this. I needed this. So happy. Now I can relax and enjoy this tournament no matter what. Congrats to Ed Cooley, and the team for believing in themselves (and yes shame on me for quitting and saying 1 and done. I will happily own that).
Ed Croswell was HUGE today. Breed played mostly under control and made some nice early contributions. Horchler is mostly back. Bynum hit some big ones.
YES!!!!!!

A loss today would have been deflating and a colossal disappointment. I wouldn't go as far to say it would have invalidated all of the good things we accomplished this year, but it sure as heck would have put a stain on this otherwise excellent season.
I don't want to say we are now playing with house money because we are a better team than that, but a loss to Iowa would certainly be understandable. I know I won't be as nervous for that one as I was for this game and a sweet 16 appearance (and maybe more) would be a fitting end to this terrific season. Congrats to the team for doing what they do best, finding a way to win. It wasn't always pretty, we didn't play anywhere near our best, but we made the plays when we had to and are one win away from the school's first second weekend in 25 years. Let's keep it rolling!

Congratulations friars and fans!
tough way for our season to end but you guys did a good job imposing your SIZE and style of play!!
i really thought your backup center Croswell was the player of the game. we had things going our way until he came in the game. your starter who i think has kinda been your main man all year did not seem to have it today. i dont know if he got tired trying to stay with doug in transition or what. but when the clock finally stopped and Croswell came in you guys turned the rebound battle around
we also started making some stupid turnovers
those two changes feel like they really changed the game
your back up post and your point guard had 17 rebounds. that hurt while your stud watson had only 3
anyway good game. despite not being able to play our game and being held far below our normal points and shooting, which i give MOST of the credit to your team for!!! NOT ALL but definitely MOST!!, it was still a one possesion game with one minute to go. cant ask for a lot more than that.
you guys our use to playing tight gritty games and that is what you made this and you found the way to get it done. again CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

My sentiments exactly. I would add that we really need to win game 2. I mean in a few years, what "sounds" better: "Oh yeah I remember that 2022 team that made it to the 2nd round" or "I remember the 2022 Sweet 16 team." ? Other thoughts: Croswell's 9 boards in 15min..you gotta love it. If that Scheierman kid were to go into the portal, just grab him! Richmond is led by Tyler Burton, son of Q. I will root hard for him vs Iowa, and then hope he's just a little off when(if) he plays us.

Congratulations friars and fans! tough way for our season to end but you guys did a good job imposing your SIZE and style of play!! LT Rabbit, your team has nothing to be ashamed of. 21-game win streaks do not happen if your mediocre. Having been to Rapid City, Rushmore, Sturgis and even Wall Drug, I will say you have a nice state too. Good luck next year and maybe we can do a little Dance2.0 next year!

Croswell was outstanding defensively and on the glass. Lots of deflections and 9 boards in 15 minutes. 4 steals! Huge when Watson no showed in 25 minutes.

Roadrunners have nothing to be ashamed of, lifetimerabbit.
You nailed my sentiments about the change that Croswell had on play. During his first stint, he had 3 steals and 6 boards (he was the #1 rebounder in all of D1 a few years back, before transferring into PC).
What you witnessed was a text-book, PC win for this season. Grind it out, and win down the stretch. Us Friar fans have grown somewhat accustomed to hearing that we're lucky from the pundits (not accusing you of this, however),over the course of 26 wins now.
This team of ours has the right stuff, such that luck = preparation and opportunity coming together at the same time.
Great having you visit here for some back and forth over the last few days. Good luck to your team during the upcoming offseason, and of course, next year.

With all the pre-game hype, We had 8 3's to their 7.
Kid for SD was really good but I thought Minaya didn't allow him to control his dribble as much in 2nd half.
Not many FT attempts but we made the most hitting 10/12.
