Well was less than thrilled that ed tossed away the tape to creighton. A three point D was atrocious and could be improved

It's an old wives tale but does a team used to playing in a small arena struggle to adjust their shooting in a larger arena?

They play quite fast, 59th in pace and can really put up points. They were second to Gonzaga in points per game and shoot the 3 at an absurd 44.9% as a team. For context, Colgate is second at 40.3%. They are 12th in offensive efficiency per Ken Pom but a lousy 220 on defense. They also shoot nearly 60% from 2, so they aren’t just a 3 point machine. I don’t think they will be able to handle us inside, Nate should be able to feast down low and frankly needs to if we want to win.
I sincerely hope the Creighton debacle is behind us, we need to be significantly better defensively or else this is the kind of team that can light us up. And if we do manage to win, Iowa is an offensive juggernaut lying in wait for us.

PC is more physical up front but they have had issues with 3 point shooting teams
Creighton being a example
play game under 70

Time do we expect game times to be announced?

Where did they announce the game times?
I hate the late game because I still have bad memories from the last time we played late. But I also don’t want the early game because I don’t wanna have to take the day off from work.

Providence is listed as a 2 point favorite. 10pm game Thursday night I think that's a placeholder on the gambling sites. I saw Vivid Seats listed PC vs South Dakota and Arkansas / Vermont as the day session

well not a lot (or any) of it here but i have no clue how anyone can snitch about our draw. especially after being worried that iowa might jump us for the 4 and the potential match up with the SEC.
we've gotten the perfect draw with the perfect time slot (playing at 9:30am their time). we've shown the ability to give up threes in bunches and that can't happen thursday.
I also don't understand how anyone can assume we're going to kill anyone.

Hello Friar fans, long time rabbit fan here. congratulations on a great season winning the BE and a 4 seed in ncaa is awesome! i would have written on your other board. that one seems a bit more active but not going to pay to have some friendly conversation with our tourney opponent.
i see folks over there have found our board and maybe feel disrespected because we are excited about our teams chances. of course we realize that this will be a tough game!! but we have not had much for decent draws on our trips to ncaa. and maybe that is a good omen for you all. our first time we played Baylor i believe in dallas. i believe they lost in elite 8 to duke that year. we played them close to the very end
following year we played michigan in detroit they got 2nd to louisville.
next time Maryland dont remember where but they had two nba prospects and a huge size advantage. we had the ball down by two with the shot clock off but did not get a shot off. they did not do so well. might have lost the next game or maybe one more
the following year 2016-17 lost to gonzaga in washington or oregon. believe they got 2nd that year
2017-18 played Ohio st. dont remember where. had the game tied with about a minute left. i think they lost the next round
anyway, so we have been in 5 times and three of our opponents have made it at least to the elite 8, so maybe that is a good sign for you
Ohio st was the only team we played that did not have a HUGE size advantage
and just like this year we usually are playing not too far from the other teams campus. i wish we were not playing so early, but nobody plays a lot of early games and the difference in time is only an hour for us, so the early time problem is pretty equal for both teams
our fans travel very VERY well so those of you going to buffalo should expect to see a good number of jackrabbit fans at the game.
i also see on the other board that you have noticed our strength of schedule. last year we were able to get some tougher games. we played west virginia to an 8 point loss. we beat utah state by over 20 and they were leading their conference for a good chunk of the season and kind of fell apart at the end. we beat Iowa st and Bradley both at their place
we have basically the same team back from last year that won those games so i think our SOS is a bit misleading. maybe you dont know it but we have the best home winning record in the country for about the last 10 years. on one hand we are not exactly playing the toughest home schedule, but on the other hand there is NO WAY anyone wants to come play us at home either. we would love to schedule a home and home with providence or ANYONE but nobody is doing that because we never lose at home. of course why would providence do that, but not even other good mid major schools will do it
so anyway, the SOS thing is NOT for a lack of trying
really looking forward to the game! we fully understand that we are not winning a 7 game series with the friars!! but we are sdsu fans and alum so you gotta expect us to like our team. but we also understand you like yours and the evidence says YOU SHOULD!! again congratulations on a great year!!
we know that we are not going to sneak up on your team or your fans. because of leading the country in 3pt fg% and putting up the best team 3pt fg% in almost 30 years we know that you fans will get VERY sick of all the "experts" picking the jacks as a trendy upset
and obviously your coaches and team will understand our game too. we would love it if you could please overlook us))!!! but we know that is not gonna happen so i hope we have a fun competitive game and i wish you all and your team the best!!!! i hope there will be no injuries and the refs will make the fair and obvious calls and otherwise keep their whistle in their pocket
best wishes!!

AND as far as Coach Gillen calling us San Diego State he is not and will not be alone. it happens all the time and it has for the last ten years. it will happen all the way up to and during the game
interesting story from the year we played Maryland and Scott Van Pelt being a maryland alum. i am sure if you look up SVP and South Dakota State you will see it
Also sorry i was wrong about where we played Gonzaga to end the 2016-17 season. i guess it was in salt lake city. and Baylor was in 2011-12 in Albequerque, lost by 8
