apparently arizona has postponed bringing athletes back to campus...this has the potential to cancel pac 10 football which means all football and if they're not playing football, ain't no chance for a college basketball season.

PAC 10/12 football will not drive the decisions of the SEC, Big 10, ACC or Big 12.

essentially removes 20% of the natl champ pool for football so i disagree. add to it if those football schools push forward, there will most likely be a death which will end college sports until the spring and all indoor college sports until 2021.

Let's say our Friars began play in January, do rioters in Providence abate their activities in cold weather? Police being defunded and largely disgruntled could be a problem here. As it is now, response time for 911 calls are abysmal. Doesn't bother those with personal security but many folks that attend games may not have that luxury. Then there's the virus and it's ramifications for bars and restaurants. Some good news perhaps is maybe we can get a vaccine soon...hearing good things today from Pfizer for example on human tests. Let us PRAY

“ Hurley enjoyed playing PC during his days a Rhode Island coach. “It was a fun rivalry to be a part of. Ed (Cooley) is a fierce competitor and I’ve got a ton of respect for his teams. .. It will take some getting used to for me to be trolled by their fans again on social media.”

Wait a moment, Gavin (or are these Hurley's quotes?)... who's fans are trolling (and baiting with their continuous, chest beating) who? It seems to me that most of our fans didn't want UConn back in the BE, "respecting" (that's a nice way of saying something else) their brand and the competition it represents on the recruiting trail. Contrast that with: 1. The nauseating "back home" pronouncements (they wanted out of the BE, right up to and including the university's president, who was wearing the proverbial - red dress while running around in an attempt to hook up with any major football conference that would take notice of her... The BE is now the Huskies "home" on account of the fact that their dreams of gridiron glory amounted to nothing more than a fool's errand and tremendous waste of tax payer money in the Nutmeg State). And don't think for a moment that Husky fans consider the BE as anything more than a stopping point on their path to destiny.... 2. The dismissive posture of UConn loyalists, who are openly predicting Husky dominance (not talking about the woman's program here) right out of the gate; 3. The lack of respect for the accomplishments of the New Big East, as evidenced by retorts that contrast the number of "NC's" (past) to BE Conference - Tournament appearances over the past several years (not to mention Villanova's NC during this time) The list goes on and on. Fortunately (for now), I'm located in a geography that insulates me form the insufferable arrogance of Husky fans, and the "Hoard" In the immortal words of WTM, "SCREW"! "Keep Calm, Wash Your Hands & Carry On"

Brace yourself 82 if you move down this way. It is nauseating the pompousness in which the "Hoard" carries themselves. All day yesterday I heard "ahh its good to be back, can't wait to dominate again".
....gotta love friartown...

Looks like two BigTen FB games are lost from huskies FB schedule (for the cash).
Big Ten going to members only schedules ('for flexibility') in fall sports.

This is more of a side topic within this thread, but recognizing the value of face to face communication, I believe that virtual communication has proven to be effective and I do not believe there should be a reduction in tuition rates for classes, excluding housing/meal related costs.
