Retired PROJO sports columnist Bill Reynolds has passed away at the age of 79.
I just recently read the book “Story Days” which is a compilation of some of Bunky’s best columns. Like his many books, the columns dove a few levels down into the person behind the sports person he was covering. Reynolds had a uniquely style of writing that I found to be so engaging as a reader.

I came across the passing of this Friar and perhaps honor his love for Providence by posting.
Bernard J. (Bing) McGlinn KATONAH - McGlinn, Bernard J., (Bing), of Katonah, NY, born May 15, 1937, formerly of Pelham died on September 6, 2023 at Northern Westchester Hospital, Mt. Kisco, NY.
Bing was a proud graduate of Providence College with a degree in Management and held an MBA from NYU. For 40 years, he dutifully ushered at the 10 o’clock Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Bing served as an Army Captain in the 351st Psychological Warfare Company. The major part of his career was in HR at Burlington Industries in NYC.
Bing will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends who enjoyed his company and his fabulous sense of humor. He was a major fan of the Providence Friars basketball team and the New York Yankees.
