Support...enough of the insecurity, it's time to raise our game.

I am fine with it,so long as there is a buyin and strong separation buyout and notice language.
UCONN already got big bucks from the BE split. Now that cash cow is ending, they are desperate to be part of the BE hoops cash.
They are a national brand. They draw. They are a solid local rival for the Friars. As far as BE games are concerned, I would most want to see PC v. Nova as #1 and PC v. UConn as #2. PC now has the facilities and staff to more than compete with the Huskies in men’s hoops.

EFFF UCONN.. There is no other team/fanbase that I hate more. Living in SE CT and having to listen to the elitists attitudes of UCONN fans since the shot that invented basketball has worn out any welcome back to the BE from my perspective. The most uninformed/delusional/arrogant fanbase in America.
....gotta love friartown...

Even if some here no longer feel 'inferior,' there is no doubt that their fanbase feels 'superior,' especially to all things Providence. Former Friars who live in the Nutmeg state will tell you, they don't pick on us in fun, they actually mean the insults hurled our way.

Just check into the Boneyard from time to time. Some of the posters make me want to punch the screen on my desktop. They are getting on a roll now after the announcement. No humility there.

I suspect many do not care, but for context. This is how 1500 anonymous (presumable mostly Uconn) fans responded on twitter.

As of now they have it over on us. We need a deep tourney run and some moments to humble them a bit. I agree their obnoxious, but they have a lot of ammo. Never the less I love this rivalry and beating them will be so much fun.

It is also very obvious they still feel inferior to the other big state schools and private blue bloods. They're always bringing them up and complaining about something. That said the elitism regarding Connecticut the state, the University and politically over there is vomit inducing. They think the're infinitely more prestigious, important and better than they actually are. Connecticut is a pass through state that I ride I-95 or the Merritt to get to and from NYC from Boston. Nothing more. Providence is better than any city in Connecticut.

Solid post 71.
Gives us potential for 2 more quality opponents in conference play enhancing our posture for the NCAA.
Sure they are arrogant - they won 4 NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS.
We need 1 and having them onboard could help us get there, so bring on the competition - let’s play 🏀 and move forward.

I go to a local pub here in Myrtle Beach. One of the bartenders is from CT. and a big fan. I told him that some of the fan base for UConn are real aholes. His response to me was " go back to RI". Enough said and no more tips for him!
OK, so I see this guys brother who is a HUGE UConn fan at another establishment and asked him what he thought about UConn re-joining the BE and he got excited and yelled "we're going home!!!". Both guys are really nice, so I'll cut the 1st one some slack.
