yes, received an email from his office yesterday...trustees wanted him for 5 more years and he said he was disappointed ...some Provincial Friar (whatever that position is) wanted him to do something else??? Next President needs to keep the momentum going and not take a step back ...in all fronts.

It could also be that they have a younger Dominican looking for more minutes at the President's position. His parents may be tweeting that he should transfer and the Provincial Friar doesn't want to lose him.

Hold double session confessionals?? ....gotta love friartown...

In other words you’re suggesting that father Shanley is being BRIZZED?

Coach Cooley is focused on next years team. Experienced point guard ( in hand) Freshman point guard Shooter Of course he is. But we’re allowed to think long-term even if he isn’t. Let’s not turn this into ScoutFriars where we can’t have a discussion without being corrected and told how to think. Leave that attitude and ego back at the other board. My response was to the change in President causig Coach Cooley to leave. Ego? Correcting people? So who is not " allowing" alternative thoughts?

Please. We all know your Modus Operandi so your attempt to twist this on anyone else has failed.
Consider this the Bernie Sanders of message boards. The donation levels of family members do not prop any board members up on a pedestal because the benefits are spread around to all of us.

The line of people hissed off at Shanley getting pushed out starts with Driscoll, Cooley and Leaman

The line of people hissed off at Shanley getting pushed out starts with Driscoll, Cooley and Leaman I can understand people (and coaches) being saddened with his pending departure 15 months from now. But the simple fact was that Fr. Shanley was rewarded with an unprecedented third 5-year term to see us through our 100th anniversary and get the ball rolling on our 2020 effort. It is what it is. PC will survive and we should all feel blessed to have had Father for 15 years. He set the bar high. We all hope his successor is able to fill his giant footprints starting in 15 months. PIZZA, SODA, GRINDERS!!!

Need the new President to continue to build on what Fr Shanlley has built...I trust the College feels the same way.

My playmates at the Dunk during the infamous Arkansas game remarked how worn down Fr shanley looked when he walked by.
I bet that will change in a very positive way between now and June 30, 2020. Yes it’s hard to accept for us as well as him and to turn the page after all he has accomplished for us.
I have known Fr Ken Letoile for nearly 60 years. He would NEVER EVER do anything that wasn’t in the best interest of Brian Shanley and PC. Veritas

Can’t afford another Fr. Smith. Hope we get another forward thinker, like Father Shanley.
