The Trustees recommended a 4th five year term as President. The Dominican Provencial did not make Father available fir this role. Therefore our President's role ends as of June 2020.

I know everyone with the school wanted him to stay in his current role - but wonder if he really wanted to stay. He took a sabbatical recently to get a break. Have to remember these guys aren't born school administrators - they are priests who have different interests and callings.
He has been great for the school, and done a great job. Big shoes to fill.

Would be ideal if the Dominicans left business decisions to business people for the better of the school, but we know that won’t happen.
Gives Cooley an easy out as well.

Disappointing to hear. Perhaps Father is ready for a different challenge. Thinking Father Secor is the President in waiting.
And what about Bob Driscoll? How long does he plan on staying? The Stanley, Driscoll, Cooley team has been great for the schools national profile and subsequent Admission Rate

Fr Stanley has Been great for the College, facility and campus improvements, applications at nearly 12,000 and athletics ....would have liked to have him for 5 years but a gre5 15 year run. Hopefully a like minded new President takes the helm.

Coach Cooley is focused on next years team. Experienced point guard ( in hand) Freshman point guard Shooter Of course he is. But we’re allowed to think long-term even if he isn’t. Let’s not turn this into ScoutFriars where we can’t have a discussion without being corrected and told how to think. Leave that attitude and ego back at the other board.

Believe Father Brian SHanley is already the longest serving President in PC history and arguably the most accomplished ever.
He shepherded so many initiatives- yes, major upgrades to sports but also many other amazing academic and infrastructure improvements.
The position is beyond demanding - think he needs and deserves to move on and return to his first passion as a teacher, philosopher and writer - May God Bless him always.
