I rarely disagree with your good thinking Yank, but in this case I do so on two fronts: 1) I am in it to win the NIT, and to extend our string of 20-win seasons. 2) IMHO, cannot brizz 2 guards without being absolutely positive that roster upgrades are secured. Agreed on Monroe. In it to win the NIT? Guys like White and Edwards should sit the bench and the young guys should play, if you truly want to develop the team. In all honesty, I was wrong. Monroe should play too. Let's see what he's got. Chuck it up Kris! www.nytimes.com/2015/04/03/sports/ncaabasketball/nit-winners-seldom-follow-up-with-ncaa-tournament-success.htmlYou link an article about NIT winners rarely follow up with success. However, the painful memory I have is of the early Calhoun era where his pups won the NIT in 1988 and by 1990 they were Elite Eight. Secondly, winning the NIT also makes one ponder how far a team could have advanced in the Big Dance. Ie: Some teams put it all together, but not till Mid-March. How would that have translated? Who knows? One or two wins maybe? I would love to be tantalized by that thought. BTW, walk brought up pressing in the game. I like that idea. And yes, in Italy Cooley had the wiry Jimmy Nichols at the top of the press. Why we didn't see that later is a complete mystery.

Off to a bad start. Is the Dunk dead or does ESPN filter out crowd noise?

Off to a bad start. Is the Dunk dead or does ESPN filter out crowd noise? Whopping 3000 folks in the stands last night...probably to be expected with a 9pm Tuesday night start and a team that people were probably done with watching
