Look at Dex with the early hook...he's clearing the place out faster than General Kelly...

White was awful yesterday. He played pretty well against X last time. I know I might get a beer can thrown at me for saying this, but if Cartwright is out of the game, I'd rather see Langford run the point over White. I prefer White off the ball, which limits the potential for gut-wrenching turnovers. I also like his potential on there perimeter as a 3-point threat. Another option? Let Diallo bring the ball up, and go Diallo, White, Jackson, Lindsey, Bullock. White just isn't skilled (or consistent) enough at this point to set the offense or lead the break in transition (IMO).

I'm so freaked if we win tonight that it almost has to happen. Jalen probably wins the damn thing with a breakaway dunk. What happens if they win tonight? Back to Mustang Harry's on Saturday?

bingo...but to clarify I have not been to ny yet.
And I agree on white but MAL is useless with the ball. I'm in the Edwards camp despite the consecutive passes to Creighton in 5 seconds yesterday. That's where I'm at with mal right now.

For Xavier, next to nothing other than a shot at their first Big East conference tournament title. The Musketeers remained on the one line with a win over St. John’s, and a loss to Creighton wouldn’t figure to damage that too much. If Xavier beats the Bluejays it would take a complete brain malfunction (or another 20+ point loss to Nova) for the committee to drop them down a line. Only thing worse than that insult is when we are referred to as Providence University.

Rock - who are the 7 best? And who does cooley think are the 7 best today? Cartwright Bullock Jackson Diallo Lindsey —————— White Watson And the 6th and 7th guys would play very little in my world. I’d say Ed sees it this way but likes to give Edwards and Young some run WITH this crew and that’s taking it too far IMO.

found these comments interesting "How much fight is Providence bringing to this? If you go solely by postgame comments, you’d think it was Chris Mack’s team that was fighting for a tournament berth. While Mack addressed what he perceived as unfair media coverage and praised his team for the tenacity they showed, Ed Cooley nearly dislocated his shoulder patting himself on the back and his team followed his lead. It will be interesting to see if that attitude affects the way the Friars approach the game."

In other words did we go down there with the mindset to win the whole thing??
Or did we unconsciously go in with the mindset of hey let's just make sure we grab one and secure our berth(which was kind of a natural thinking by fans/media so why not staff & players??)
but u wonder if it will come back to hurt our mental preparation & focus

U might be on to something but I honestly want to see MORE of Maliek White pushing the ball down teams throats Gotta give a guys a chance to fine tune a little If u run him at the 2 your defense is gonna take a hit need some length on perimeter (6'4-6'5)
