no clue why we chuck so many threes. especially against this team. Head scratcher all right. I didn't see the staff make any adjustments as the bottom fell out

28 of our 60 field goal attempts (47&) were from 3-point land., and we hit just 28.6% of those 3point attempts.
Live by the 3, Die by the 3.
Our seniors today:
Alpha: 4-13, 11pts Rodney: 2-7, 7pts Kyron: 1-8, 3pts Jalen: 0-8, 1pts Kalif: 1-2, 4pts : Our bench with 28 points, outscored the starting group:
White: 4-7, 11pts Jackson: 3-8, 8pts Watson: 2-3, 4pts MAL: 1-2, 5pts

Donnie Marshall was spot on at the half. He said Butler was giving us the 3's and trying to prevent penetration. He said we shot the 3 good in 1st half but % was in Butler's favor. Alpha and Jackson usually are looking to penetrate and they rarely were able to get by their man today.

I guess they were sick again....why in the eff are we chucking threes at this rate?
another senior no show on the road? I guess they guarded us and the rims were crooked.

The difference we were at home and we shot 32%. Jalen had no 3's in 7 attempts today.

Not sure why we don't consider the "old fashion 3" when our outside shots aren't falling.
- Need someone down low on the blocks, looking for the entry pass - Need movement, cutters and screens from everyone else, in order too break the defense down - Need someone driving inside to score, draw the foul, stop the clock and convert the conventional 3-pt play

Two Saturday blowouts in a row...the next two Saturday games may determine our March play

it was stupid against nova too but if you post that after a W you get crucified. We also only shot 11 in the second half which is still too many but a more reasonable number. Had a bunch of success getting to the rim against nova and there were similar opportunities there today. Will not be as many against shu imo.

15%. Even the 5th graders at half time the other night shot the ball better.

Sorry. Our offense sucks. Everyone standing around and jacking up missed 3s. No one cutting to the ball or hoop. What is the coaching staff going to do to force adjustments. This is terrible It was pathetic.

Funny but I actually posted at halftime against Nova that we needed to stop taking 3's. But the 2nd half 3's went a long way to getting that win. But I agree w Marshall that on the road is a different story. Also in the first half the refs were letting a lot of grabbing go but seemed to call more fouls in 2nd half. So driving to the basket would have been the way to go.

15% shooting in the second half.... At that rate, "all" we needed to do was stop Butler from scoring, and somehow manage to gain enough additional possessions to attempt another 33.3 shots from beyond the arc Had we done that, we would have scored an additional 15 points, and knotted things up at 69. ((33.3 x 3) x 0.15) = 15 That demonstrates just how asinine our game plan (no adjustments in the 2nd half that I could see) was! There's another way to get a 3-point play, stop the clock and get the other team in foul trouble in the process. But, it typically requires one to get fouled while converting a statistically easier shot (such as the layups that Butler was making to pull away in the second half) inside of the 3 point line
