As far as how bad must dickens be......my concern regarding dickens is chukwu was able to get minutes behind Carson d and he'd be getting 40 mpg for us ...
..and chukwu is awful right now....

If no one transfers they’ll have holt, young, watson, nichols, and dickens at the 4/5 spot next year. I could see Dickens saying sayonara since he seems to be getting the Ricky Council treatment, but that’s still 4 guys for those two spots. Unless there is a transfer AND holt isnt able to play, can’t see them adding a big.

The difference being that Council was on two NCAA teams, so you knew why he wasn't playing. This team isn't close to an NCAA team and Dickens can't sniff the floor. For him not to be playing at all tells me he has N'Dongo N'Daiye type abilities, because if he can walk and chew gum, he'd be playing 30 minutes a game at the center position for us this year.

Kelvin Sampson was far from mild mannered in the huddles last night and that was with a double digit lead.
Maybe Lindsey has turned a deaf ear to the overreactions. ( Lindsey must not be fully recovered from his injury).
It is hard for a young player such as MAL to remain silent under that kind of verbal assault.
Tim Welsh quoted Cooley as saying he wishes that for once he could play with the team he recruited... ...
The healthiest thing for everyone is to take a step back.

My gut tells me that Dickens is being held out for a red shirt and that its Young who will go shopping if anyone does. I also think that in order to have a game-ready contributor next year (since its too late to get in on any worthy 2018's) is to go JUCO, or possibly overseas. And therein lies the problem. Recruiting a JUCO by definition means bringing in a junior, which may un-nerve Watson, Nichols or Dickens since they would be behind the newcomer class-wise, and we don't want that. Young meanwhile, would exchange within the junior class. So, the sequence of events is VERY important here, IF we go in that direction. BTW, I didn't mention it, but we need a big that can rebound. Yes, Emmitt can do that, but we are set to lose 10.7rpg between Bullock and Lindsey. Edit: As a matter of fact, I have a possible recommendation: Ivan Aurrecoechea 6'8" 240-lbs who's a Soph at the third ranked Indian Hills CC and 15th in nation in rebounding. Prior to that, he came from the prestigious Canarias Baskeball Academy. Please remember that it was IHCC Coach Hank Plona (ex-PC) who funneled Emmitt Holt to the Friars. So Plona understands talent and if he thinks big Ivan is capable, I want someone to pick up the phone.

He's rebounding at a clip of 10/game, and appears fairly quick with a pension for attacking the rim. If he's BE ready, then perhaps it'd be worthwhile pursing our first Spaniard since Bo Larragan

Wow, maybe we're starting a ground-swell of report for the big Spaniard! BTW, thanks for the video.

Me and any other poster not named Thump can replace the rebounding of bullock and Lindsey with equal minutes...
