as in one to replace Rodney?
Or two to replace Fazekas and the assumed Council transfer?
I want to be on record that I am anti the bullock showcase for 17-18.

if he wants to come back and play less (or better), i'll sign up.
He's really the only guy I remember who looks exactly like the same player the day he walked in the door. Doesn't strike me as the type who works on his game.
Dex - I'd add - study harder

Interesting development, the motivation for which we can only guess:
1. Rodney wants a fresh critique of what he needs to work on, to develop himself over his "final year of eligibility" 2. Questioning if he'll be eligible for a "final year of eligibility", he's hoping for a miracle performance at the Combine, while protecting his amateur status,
While I can't fault the kid for reaching for his dream, it would seem evident that Rodney's got work to do, and a cadre of coaches at his disposal each day, who could point out the gaps in his game. This year's pool of talent is deeper than last year's, and we all know the fate of Ben Bentil (who's game, body, energy are substantially better than Rodney's). Let's face it, Rodney should be able to deduce this as well....
With this in mind, I now of the opinion that Rodney's mind and attention have drifted A-W-A-Y from the Classroom (if for no other reason than the time that he'll presumably put into readying his body/skills for the tryouts), perhaps to the point of "no return"...even if that means a fresh start within the Pro-Leagues of some obscure country in a far away continent.
Mark me down at 70% odds - that we've seen the last of Rodney in Black & White.

Doesn't strike me as the type who works on his game. Or the type that listens for that matter. On paper its a no brainer to bring him back. But I'd pass as well. I've had enough of the poor body language, lack of intensity, lackadaisical defense and early shot clock chucks.

ding ding 82 - you beat me to it.
If this turns into getting away to get "draft ready" for the next 8 weeks, I'm good as well.

I've been expecting this quite frankly, even mentioned it a while back in one of my rants. The kid will get not one bit better in terms of professional value in the next 12 months at PC. He would only get year five on Smith Hill - set college schedule, classrooms, hanging around 20 year olds and, oh, no money either. For what? Another run through the Big East? Why bother. Declare, workout like crazy, flirt with the draft and sign oversees for $100K+ a year. Wouldn't most of us do that?
Now, none of this says he's an NBA player - he isn't - but he he won't be next year either. Saying he "isn't ready" implies he someday might be - he won't. Why wait around? Go get paid somewhere. I get it.
Flip side: I hope, selfishly, that he stays. No matter how maddening he is so much of the time we're better with him than without him next year.

Imagine if he worked out like crazy while at PC? Could be entering the draft to actually get drafted.
We're better because he's one of our most talented, if not the most talented, player on the roster.

That all makes sense, Rock; however, I still wonder if the staff is surprised on some level...after all, Rodney was not celebrated on Senior Night...
