Wow! Tacky of Goodman to suggest this - in a few ways, and if the BE prevents players from transferring within conference, then it should also apply to Coaches.

Can anyone think of a BE HC who moved to a Conference member? I think Goodman said it because 'he doesn't care' who he offends in Prov where he might get some feedback if he were to say Miller or someone else.

Wow if he doubles his salary say 4 mill instead of 2 to use round figures would you be pi$$ed if he moved on?
Hypothetically that's 12 mill over a 6 yr deal plus endorsements and sneaker $$ would be enhanced over a PC
What y'all think?

Stop it, Dex!
And what if, following a coaching change, a player in one BE program feels that his future interests are best advanced by transferring out to another BE program?
Players are restricted from doing it, so why not coaches.
I get it, if its a school from another conference that comes calling with more money in hand, but it's hypocritical (not to mention that the double standard would fuel the argument that players are indentured servants who provide the entertainment value - while schools and coaches profit)

Don't think its happened before..St. Johns flirted with Welsh while he was at PC years back, right

Hey King Conn why won't it happen? Loyalty and the comfort of ones hometown? 12 million can't break it Coaches take care of their brothers. A few more mentions and no denial will cost Fr Shanley another $750K
Hey 82 I agree that the player transfer has to go if the coaches can switch conf teams
However as the rule stands please don't think that conf loyalty or stability means anything because in 2017 it means less than nothing
Having said that, you have to be an A-Hole to do it
How many hours or days or weeks before Ed says no thanks?

It won't happen because of relationships...that between the Presidents of the two schools and that between Ed Cooley and Providence...
Ed will leave one day...but it will not be to another Big East school...

Good question. I guess he'd need to be approached before saying no thanks - unless (and in the interests of the current, recruiting binge that he's hoping to deliver on) he makes a blanket "I'm not going anywhere" comment to squash any and all speculation, and the damage it could do before the Spring Signing period.
