Cuonzo Martin left his slot to take over at Missouri a program long on the ropes.
Not surprised at Indiana taking out Tom Crean - think the first round loss in the NIT sealed his fate. Rumors of his firing have been strong. Signed until 2020 Crean will get a nice buyout payment.

Crean has a buyout of $4 million. It dropped to $1 million in July, but many boosters did not want to give him another year.

Mike Hopkins?
As in the long-ago-announced successor to the curmudgeon of coaching, Jim Boeheim ?
Wow. I guess he got frustrated waiting for his chance to take over the reigns. Reportedly a 6-Year deal.
I guess this gives Boeheim a reason to not retire after the '17-'18 season. Jim does everything on his terms, even if it means stringing along a long-time assistant

Hopkins got killed for sucking during jimmy's absence a few years back and jb took them to the final four a year ago. I think he's earned the right to pick his retirement date without "stinging" a longtime assistant who just picked up a 6 year P5 gig with about 10 games of coaching experience. sounds like jb did just fine for the kid.
