Why do we have two threads about the same thing?

Beat USC then SMU then Butler...and we're back at MSG for the Sweet 16. This team can do it, if it get's its collected head around making free throws and avoiding an avalanche of unforced turnovers.

Even though we're first four, anyone else breathe a sigh of relief as soon as you saw our name? Was shocked we weren't announced in the final region.

Unc gets home protection as a 1 seed. Fine, expected..........Thought SHU deserved better seeding and or placement with their strong finish and almost taking down nova. My point was obvious, but as is your MO you selectively construct a strawman to burn down.

FWIW: Syracuse in NIT as a 1-seed. I checked out their tournament's brackets. A lot of of familiar schools over there that we've chatted about being our contenders for the Big Dance such as Clemson, California, etc. I feel some sympathy for the likes of Monmouth and Illinois State...

Not to dwell any more on Syracuse, but I thought I'd share a bit of irony. After stating that there was "no value in playing in Greensboro", the NIT Committee selected UNC Greensboro as Jim Boeheim's first round opponent.

Great first four game on between New Orleans and Mt St Mary's.....one of the bigs on NO got mad at his pg for not getting him the ball quicker on a 3 second violation. Got right in his face and the pg shoved him off and the Big literally choked him before being separated by the coaches.
Mt St Mary's hangs on to win, after the NO coach elects not to foul down 1 with only 3 seconds to spare vs the shot clock. NO rebounds and calls timeout with 2.6 left but has to go full court and throws it away, should have fouled and left some clock.
My St Mary's heads to Buffalo to face Villanova.
