Cancel the appointment
U R Right
BUT
not enough in that situation to warrant a foul by gutless refs
However...my point that Meeks could have been the Goat and that Bell underestimated Meeks' stupidity are validated
Thank you Daddy-O for providing my smoking gun evidence

No, not enough to call that push with under 4 seconds sending Oregon to free throw line.
Not enough at all. The refs let them play at both ends. You don't want them deciding the game on a questionable foul.
Bell could have sealed off Meeks and lets someone else grab it. And then they had practically no time remaining to score.
Can you imagine the indignity to UNC... gasp.
Anyway, Oregon could have won with better shot selection, more care at the free throw line, putting a body on Jefferson, a rebound, blocking out on the Meeks Free throw attempt getting possession there with a bit more time.
Nerve wracking game for fans of either team no doubt.
Better that the refs didn't call a foul there.

it's taken the Zags 19 straight trips to reach this game.
It won't take Cooley that long to get there.
....
This game tonight is really entertaining and played at a high level. Pace spectacular.

Both of these teams have upperclassman contributing. Plus they each have size. Looking forward to having two solid Big men added to the Friars' roster for 2017-2018. Lack of size hurt us on this past year.

When does UNC's tourney ban for 30 years of academic cheating begin?

Just after Williams-Goss carried his team in the last few minutes a freak turned ankle did them in when it mattered most.
'82 kept thinking if UNC should go on to win how long until they have to vacate the championship and how many wins will they forfeit in penalty?

I said something along these lines to my wife, after pulling some hair from my head. Seriously. Nothing to do with the kids on Carolina today, but there are some wins and banners from the past that will need to be rolled back...at some point. In the meantime, tonight's encore should have been re-named "One Tarnished Moment" Good call, dad!

"One Tarnished Moment" indeed...
Coldly looking at this, Dadgum Roy actually did a great coaching job in this ugly contest pulling together this team to get the W - despite lousy stats and a team short of loaded talent.
Will they ever be called to task for their blatant disregard for any sense of academic compliance? How they are boldly in denial from their own " investigation" goes beyond arrogance and into the realm of "OK, so what?"
Look at the football championship Tourney; it is devoid of ANY reference to the NCAA - there is NONE...yet all qualifiers are certainly NCAA institutions.
Going to be interesting to see what - if anything - ever happens here to UNC. A mealy-mouthed " settlement" would not be a surprise.
But God forbid PC the next time it tries to get a struggling academic case approved by the compliance board.
