In the face of the potential of URI continuing their non appearance streak in the NCAA to 18 straight years and us going four times in row, the deep seated delusion I've come to expect and appreciate over on keaney blue is laugh out loud funny.
"The Dunk is a dump" because of the ice issues and just because........Never mind the 75 M with a big M Reno, paid for by them Hahahaha...the luxury boxes, the sight lines, the atmosphere, the downtown location, the seating capacity that is twice theirs, hosting NCAA tourney games, etc........
"The Dunk is a morgue".......never mind the 13,000 plus standing room only sellouts on a day they couldn't fill their gym to its 7500 capacity. In fact they only get 1 sellout every other year......the years we visit and beat them in front of their "fans". Their avg attendance is around 4000 a year which is about right for a middling mid major program.
"Marquette sucks". ""Enjoy your 8-8 league record" "the Big East sucks".......Clearly they don't actually watch basketball outside of their own games, and definitely not Big East.....I guess it hasn't dawned on them that they're outside the bubble looking in despite having a winning record and near the top of their league, but no one cares because their league is a mid major joke, while the BE is poised again to get half its members or more invites...
These are the grand delusions of a small time program in a jealous rage over the fact that a small private catholic school owns them in their own state. We've beat them 7 in a row and own a commanding all time series lead. Providence is and always has been the RI team, embraced by everyone and URI is irrelevant as always. The nail despises the hammer, shocker.
