Have we really seen enough of Edwards to say that he can be playing PG in the BE on a team with tourney aspirations?

I disagree that Cartwright should play less next year and White should play more...I think we ride Cartwright's experience, as he is a more than capable Big East point guard...

My only complaint about Cartwright is his defense. His inability to stop dribble penetration, does nothing to help our undersized front court. For a guy with tremendous quickness, I am amazed at how few times he gets his hands on the ball defensively. 850 minutes played and only 25 steals. White has 16 steals in only 289 minutes.

Have we really seen enough of Edwards to say that he can be playing PG in the BE on a team with tourney aspirations? My thoughts on Edwards as well. Bringing the ball up the court is one thing, directing and running a team is something else completely different. We've never seen Edwards direct a team yet.

My only thought on Edwards is that I'd like to see a lot more of Edwards since I'm guardedly optimistic. Has IQ and grit. Raw talent & recovery for injuries are still question marks.

On the flip side, Edwards has given no reason to think he cannot handle some minutes at PG if necessary. Guys get into foul trouble..injuries...
If anything, I'm trying to say that the guys mentioned here should have the versitilty to contribute at a couple different positions because they all have different skillsets, and if they realize their potential, I can foresee many different lineups.

Young was very under ranked....don't you read this board? Young was on a loaded Orangeville Prep team, his role was to rebound and play defense, scoring was not what they needed from him.

Young's rebounding has dropped off of late. Might be hitting the A Frosh wall.

Young seems fatter now....he does have some things in his toolbox beyond a knife and fork
Very few Bigs that we recruit will ever be ready Frosh year.
I was hoping Big Ed would turn him loose to run the floor against a shorthanded SHU team and help wear down Delgado...it appears the reverse might have happened if we tried that strategy.
The one's we want to gain weight can't and the one's we want to lose weight won't...these friggin HC's earn their money alright
