Interestingly enough, I only watch and pay no attention to the stats, so it's easy for me to overlook terrible shooting percentages.
Like friara said in another thread, the Dunn/Bentil combo has so much talent that I cannot help but want some NCAA tourney action....
On a high level, I like the idea of trying to build a team to fit a particular vision based off skill set, opposed to allowing stats to press you into a more conservative style of play. I think this team is better with the versatile version of Ben Bentil, and at least against man to man D, versatile Ben opens up the court for Kris Dunn, and I would think that is a good thing.
I think I can see what Cooley is trying to get at, and I am sure he is more frustrated than anybody that his team cannot execute. If he has to adjust, I am sure he will adjust, but this team is a great shape and I think there is a lot of untapped potential with time to continue working at it.
