already posted in the other thread wtm
please try to follow along
so wtm said to me that now that our Friar Icemen at National Champs we never ever have to go to a hockey game again
so we can go voluntarily instead of years of having to eat your guts out trying to pull the team across the finish line
accordingly, if not for all the young fans coming along, Schneider season tix renewal would be down

Dunn: "The decision is definitely hard. I'm one step closer to my dreams. I still have to figure out a lot of things."

www.theday.com/college-sports/20150422/dunn-still-contemplating-his-futureDunn still contemplating his future Published April 22. 2015 9:50PMUpdated April 22. 2015 9:53PM By Gavin Keefe Providence — Kris Dunn never lets pressure-packed situations rattle him on the basketball court. He’s also remained cool while contemplating a life-altering decision: whether to return to Providence College for his junior season or enter his name in the NBA Draft in June. With Sunday’s NBA Draft early-entry eligibility deadline approaching, Dunn continues to stick to his own timetable. He’s not losing sleep over making his big decision. “It’s a blessing, to be honest,” Dunn said after his workout Wednesday at PC's Alumni Hall. “It’s a good problem to have. I’m one step closer to my dream. “Right now, I have to make a decision. … I’ll just sit down with my family and the coaching staff. I’ve got a great support system. I’m just focusing on basketball and school work. I’m not really thinking about that stuff.” His announcement will come any day now. He’s projected to be a first-round draft pick. One mock draft has the Providence point guard being selected 13th. As of late Wednesday afternoon, he had yet to nail down a meeting time with his family and coaches. “We’re going to sit down very soon,” Dunn said. “We’re going to discuss a lot of things and see what’s best for me. As soon as we figure it out, that’s when I’m going to announce it.” Over the last few weeks, Dunn has blocked out all the noise about his decision. He dismissed a Yahoo Sports report Wednesday that stated he will return to Providence next season. “That’s his opinion,” Dunn said of respected NBA writer Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports. “I haven’t decided what I’m going to do yet, go to the draft or come back to school. I still have a couple more days to figure that out.” Dunn, a co-Big East Player of the Year, is coming off his best season. He averaged 15.6 points, 7.5 assists, 5.5 rebounds and 2.7 steals while leading the Friars to the NCAA tournament. He’s already working hard to prepare for next season. He'll continue to push aside any potential distractions. “My teammates help me focus on getting better as a person and as a player," Dunn said. "... As a player, I’ve still got a lot of things to improve."

Bottom line to me: more kids have been burned by leaving too early than by staying too late. Where Kris is in, say, 2020 won't be dramatically altered by this decision BUT how his college legacy is written and what his NBA onboarding experience ends up being sure will be. Hope he decides to stay, think he will, think he should.

Well, that manages to put a sceeching halt to speculation he's staying. I thought the denials were to save the moment for whenever the announcement. But, assuming the dream is the NBA, yeah, that puts a brake on any premature assumptions. One step closer to his dream. Alrighty then, looking forward to seeing how high he goes.....

...as for the college legacy, it's more for us than them....and it has to be really special to be acknowledged outside of the two message boards....we live and die with this stuff but we're the select few....
I think he's staying as well but these quotes don't make me the most confident....

I do believe he is saying these things to regain control of the situation. Those quotes will do that. "my call, not Woj." When he talks about his dreams being within reach, we have no choice but to put some brakes on our elation and wait. I too believe he is returning. And since it should be his call, at his time, releasing comments like that puts the ball back in his court where he wants it. Whatever he says overrides anything Woj or any other pundant reports. Unfortunately, his comments do give pause, but if he's going to regain control of his moment this week, he's gotta throw the scare into us I guess.

I agree although the quote at the end of the article should and nobody mentions it. “My teammates help me focus on getting better as a person and as a player," Dunn said. "... I give Kris Dunn a lot of credit for deciding to remain in college despite being considered a lock first-round pick by most NBA guys.
