www.montgomeryadvertiser.com/story/auburnauthority/2015/04/01/providence-transfer-tyler-harris-plans-to-visit-aubrun/70813030/AUBURN -- A family connection is bringing one of the top players on the transfer market to Auburn for a visit, and maybe more. Former Providence forward Tyler Harris, the younger brother of Orlando Magic forward Tobias Harris, who played for Bruce Pearl at Tennessee, is planning to visit Auburn before deciding where he'll transfer to play his final season of college basketball, according to his father. "That's family down there," said Terrell Harris, Tyler's father, of Pearl and assistant coach Tony Jones. "I got to visit to see what's going on. That's a no-brainer." Love Terrell's use of "I".

draif is correct as memory serves there was another miscreant besides the self-serving Chris Driscoll involved is some sort of shenanigans in the dying days of Keno - do not remember the details but it was shaky no doubt - think guy was maybe the video coordinator and was then passed over, then revolted maybe?

The rule discourages red-shirting for player development.

The rule discourages red-shirting for player development. Absolutely, I wouldn't bother redshirting a player anymore. You take up a scholarship and potentially don't see the biggest pay off (4th year of eligibility).

Don't know Kevin Lennon, the new guy at the NCAA but it sounds like he has his finger on the pulse of the transfer flood and other issues that have plagued the game in recent years. Ironic to see John "one and done" Calipari chiming in to support a two year senior graduate school transfer rule change...guess he wants to monopolize the rent-a-player business.

Makes sense...wish we had gotten year 5 (go ahead with your bullchit dex and say I trashed the kid for 2 years) but at least appears we'll be covered at the position with bullock...don't know much about the Richmond kid but find it hard to believe he'd be an upgrade...

The Richmond kid is more of a power forward/center type and is probably more of a replacement/insurance in case Owens can't go.

Sure hope our recruiting pitch is a little stronger than come in as an insurance policy for a frosh...
