Really the 5th year transfer thing only requires you to go to class the first semester. Once the season starts and you reach the second semester class isn't as much of an issue because eligibility doesn't matter anymore. Brown: Agree. But added to that, the school has to offer a masters program in "something" that the existing school does not offer. So in the case of Harris, if he has 10 schools on his list, they all have to have a course PC does not have. Then comes eligibility. Even if he finds some weird course PC does not offer, he would have to have undergraduate credits that would allow you to take such a course. The whole system is a farce.

And to add to that, getting a Masters is no joke. There are a lot more papers, research and individual projects and thinking. It' s hard enough playing ball and getting a degree in leisurely studies.

there are plenty of masters programs that are a complete joke including many offered by quality institutions....especially with these online programs...take 3-4 online classes and you only need to leave the apt for basketball and food....and 71 I don't believe he needs to have the undergrad courses before enrolling...that can be part of his initial coursework....

And I hate that it can be a joke. I was a GA at Providence, lived off my stipend (not good compared to other schools) and the money from my summer jobs..I had GAs in my masters classes who were the GAs for mens and womens bball...they could not have cared less. Some of them did care, don't get me wrong. And then you have GAs just there because they were former student-athletes and realized they had to do something with their lives.

Who was the grad assistant under Keno who ended up trying to sabotage the program somehow? I think he was from Idaho, Montana or one of the Dakotas.
Or Wyoming...I will throw that in there to cover my bases.

Something strange Happened. Sabotage was an exaggeration. I think he had a falling out and went public with some info on the boards or something.

No, wasn't an Assistant. Not sure what he was doing. Appeared to be a bag boy.

www.montgomeryadvertiser.com/story/auburnauthority/2015/04/01/providence-transfer-tyler-harris-plans-to-visit-aubrun/70813030/AUBURN -- A family connection is bringing one of the top players on the transfer market to Auburn for a visit, and maybe more. Former Providence forward Tyler Harris, the younger brother of Orlando Magic forward Tobias Harris, who played for Bruce Pearl at Tennessee, is planning to visit Auburn before deciding where he'll transfer to play his final season of college basketball, according to his father. "That's family down there," said Terrell Harris, Tyler's father, of Pearl and assistant coach Tony Jones. "I got to visit to see what's going on. That's a no-brainer."
