Big fan of Hurley for DePaul. Think it would be similar to WoJo at Marquette.

I think St. Johns doesn't want to start the process all over if they fire Lavin. They will lose what few recruits they already have and with half of their team graduating and others possibly looking elsewhere ( See Jordan, Rysheed) they would go from middle of the pack BE team to possibly one of the worst in any major conference.

Big fan of Hurley for DePaul. Think it would be similar to WoJo at Marquette. In my eyes, there is a huge pedigree difference. Wojo did an extensive apprenticeship (16 years) under Coach K, while Bobby was an asst. under his brother, Danny, for 3 years before becoming Buffalo's coach for 2 years. Big difference to me. Wojo hands down! PIZZA, SODA, GRINDERS!!!

Somehow I have a feeling Lavin's return is gonna depend on Jordan and Obekpa's decisions to transfer or return....if you catch my drift

I have a feeling Hurley would make an immediate impact on the trails just as Wojo did. Gonna get a lot of the top talent in the Chicago/NY/NJ area. If the hire does happen I would fully expect to see brother Danny at SHU soon after. Especially if Bobby has any success at all in year #1. I think this would be great exposure & publicity for the Big East especially if both can turn their programs around. Pretty sure the other P5's wouldn't mind having the famous Hurley brothers banging heads in their league as head coaches.

Danny Hurley is famous to the officials as a raving lunatic. Just ask Ed.
Reminds me of Gonzalez!

Danny and Bobby are brothers but not the same personalities from what I have heard - their pedigrees are well established by their father; Bobby is also a Dookie and is highly respected whilst Danny seems to be the complex hot head (see Seton Hall)...Regardless BOTH have had success thus far.
Think if Bobby and DePaul can agree it would be a plus for the Big East something the league would welcome and a real chance for DePaul to establish a respectable if not winning program in Chicago.

Wow! Tyndall to get the hook after a mere ONE YEAR on the job! 16-16 and 7-11 in conference.
HHR - Jim Reamer @hhr_Reamer 6m6 minutes ago Holy cow “@garyparrishcbs: Donnie Tyndall will be fired as Tennessee’s basketball coach, a source told @cbssports. Story coming.”
There will be much possible fallout to comment on within the Axed Coaches thread on the recruiting board.

Donnie Tyndall will not return next season as Tennessee's men's basketball coach, multiple sources told CBSSports.com early Friday morning.
An official announcement is expected soon.
This development is related to the ongoing NCAA investigation into the Southern Miss program Tyndall ran from 2012 to 2014. As CBSSports.com first reported Thursday morning, NCAA officials detailed for Tennessee's administration on Thursday afternoon the allegations it plans to formally levy against Tyndall when it sends a notice of allegations to USM in the coming weeks. A source told CBSSports.com Tennessee's administration would've preferred Tyndall remain in Knoxville, ideally; they liked him as their coach. But the punishment the NCAA is expected to assign Tyndall convinced athletic director Dave Hart that keeping Tyndall was simply impractical going forward, a source said.
"They just heard [about] too many violations [at Southern Miss]," a source said.
Tyndall finished 16-16 in one season at Tennessee.

Volunteers cannot afford having another coach with liabilities...even if they are from a previous stint at another place...
