What Ladontae accomplished tonight was too monumental for posts to remain buried in a thread by some other name.
With his 3 early in the second half, Henton more than solidified his place in Friar Lore. An amazing accomplishment
Congrats, Buckets!

And he joins only Ryan Gomes in that Friar club correct?
I'll always remember him for his "onions" shot that put the dagger in Creighton in MSG last March.

Simply awesome he and Cotton will go down as the guys who brought the program back after 17 years of irrelevance.
Congrats Ladontea

LaDontae is very very special - and last night his post-game interview spoke volumes. He was excellent on national TV as he actually spoke with purpose and said some good things beyond the usual cliches. Can't wait for the proverbial "up from the streets" piece coming soon from BUNKY, no doubt eh? Except in this case it is all 100% true. Here is a young man whom Cooley has embraced, kicked his butt and provided a wonderful situation for him that will extend beyond his playing days. Most likely no NBA in his future but what about overseas and then getting into player development or even coaching? I can see this actually happening because I think he will remain in the Cooley fold for many many years...his leadership skills have been developed big time - ask anyone about that - the kid known as BUCKETS or BUCK for short has the potential for a solid career - and oh yeah, he will get his degree from PC as well. LOVE this Friar!

Needs 18 points to pass Murdock for 3rd all-time.

Yank that is an amazing accomplishment for Buckets
I was there for all of it the last 4 years but it seems to have come upon us all of a sudden...or at least it feels that way for me
What a stellar career

Hopefully attendees on Saturday get to their seats early as the seniors are honored (including God Shammgod btw). Let's give LaDontae the standing ovation he deserves.

He is probably the most consistent 4 year player the Friars have ever had. He arrived ready to play BE basketball. Ironically he averaged more minutes per game as a freshman than he has the last 3 years. He also shot a higher % from 3 as a freshman than he has the last 3 years.

Fascinating supposition and I'm thinking it's true
Other candidate anyone?

Gomes, Murdock, Thorpe? Not saying they were more consistent, but certainly in the conversation.
