Helluva a win. Bentil was a beast tonight. Great comeback after a terrible first half. Not a great move by Dunn at the end. Whitehead was right to give him a foul there. I didn't mind it.. SHU still had most of their core players in.. Plenty of teams have done it to the Friars. I didn't mind either play.. ....gotta love friartown...

I think that was a GREAT coaching job by Cooley.

Bentil was the player of the game. Was a beast inside and went 12-12 from the line.

Rafferty said the last time it happened that on an inbounds play the mid-court line does not exist. So the ref made the right call tonight based on that. But Donny Marshall said it was a backcourt call and yet Cooley didn't complain. Thumper needs to explain this better and we need visuals.

Bentil and Chuckwu looked like vets out there. Cartwright was solid in the first half. Lomomba played great D, took it to the hole and knocked down free-throws and Dunn woke up. When this team plays like this they will be tough. If we had made our layups in the first half we would have blown this team out tonight. Either way I will take the win.

It's not a backcourt if the inbound goes all the way into the backcourt, which happens fairly often as teams use that real estate legally. This one the guy caught it clearly in the front court and stepped back.

Great comeback win for the Friars, 5th road win of the season.
One of the best halfs of the year that second half
29 - 33 from the FT line...
Killed them on the boards...
Fox Sports saying Friars have to win and Gtown has to lose on Saturday...duh NO NO NO
Friars own the tie breaker beating Hoyas twice...

Great stuff here '71
*
friarbrown what you say is also spot on - very tough but as you so correctly point out it is "when we play like this"
*
Cooley is honing in on who he wants to play based on how they are playing and that is impressive...did Harris even get a sniff in the second half?
Let's hope CD's knee is OK tomorrow.
Albert "Junior" Lomomba is our GLUE GUY IMHO.
Bentil is NOT playing like a Freshman and neither is Cartwright whose play in that messy first half was critical to our eventual success.
Dunn and Henton need no accolades from any of us - they earn them on their own.

I agree with you but according to Bill Rafferty the last time you can do that and obviously the ref was right there and called it that way tonight.

I know for a fact once you catch it and land in the front court the half court line is no longer 'invisible' and thus if you then fall backwards over it your in violation. It's common sense. Rafteryis wrong. You can throw it into the backcourt initially... But if it's initially thrown into the front court and guy catches it and lands there that's the end of the 'invisible half court line'.
