That's a bummer, was hoping they'd be ranked for our matchup. This is still a must win game, even more so as Miami falls.

I think this is a game that we should win. About a month ago when Miami beat a injury and suspension decimated Florida team I said we should be able to win this game. A certain poster who's name rhymes with Balk tried to give me a hard time about it.

I agree, as long as it's the team that showed up against FSU, ND, and UK and not the one who took the court against BC and Brown. That Brown loss is gonna come back to haunt us in March.....20 point RPI swing EASY come seasons end, which means if we are in the mid-50's on the outside of the bubble we would've been mid-30's and all but a lock. Our RPI plummeted from the 40's to the 80's after that loss while we are at #74 currently. Getting a good jump on your RPI early is very important instead of having to claw your way up all year. Committee will say it's "only one of the criteria" they use but best believe it is the main measuring stick on Selection Sunday

I think we will take care of business in this one. Miami is a solid team don't get me wrong but I don't think they are anything that we cannot handle if we are on top of our game. Hopefully that 3 game losing streak is behind us and we don't play like that anymore.

Sometimes teams treat games as though they will be automatic wins and end up with a Browning.....

You best believe that the committee will use whatever criteria they can against you, if they want you on the outside looking in.
It goes down something like this: "Well Providence had some good wins against "Blank" and "Blank", but really bad losses against Brown, Boston College, and "Blank", which put them on the outside looking in".

UConn lost to Yale, and has not beaten anyone good in the OOC (maybe Dayton, but they will struggle with their setbacks) yet because they play in the AAC they will look like a good team, be in the top-25, have everyone from Goodman to Rothstein salivating over Boatright and Brimah for beating UCF, Larry Brown's SMU, and playing well against a down Memphis.

The AAC looks like crap right now and their conference schedule is all crap-that won't help any team in the AAC. Even if UConn wins the conference, there are not going to be any wins that stick out. Their OOC schedule is extremely important to them and losing those game puts them in a difficult position.

Hard time about us beating Miami? I made mention of UF being in the top 25 but not deserving to be there due to injuries and suspensions. Not to take anything away from the U but UF isn't going to be what they have been. You actually gave me a hard time about Uf being in the top 25. I apologize it wasn't about us beating Miami. I still think we win that game though.

So U of F should have been voted out of the top 25 before they played a game.....?
It's unrealistic to expect the AAC to get one bid....they'll most likely get 2....
The BE needs to hang on for another week....and PCs got a lot to say about this...

UF ranking was a preseason ranking. They were not one of the top 25 teams in the country was my point. Its a good win for Miami no doubt. That win has helped Miami a great deal and it got them ranked. It would be like us beating Kentucky if they didn't have Cauley Stein, the harrison twins and Tyler Ulis. Its a nice win but it may not happen if a team was at full strength.
