Okay so my early Christmas present from my son is the Album "Here Come the Friars" with Ernie D and Bill Walton pictured on the cover. The team picture with Dave Gavitt and Chris Clark are on the back. Of course I don't have anything to play it on at the moment. Have any of you guys listened to it and can you describe what it's like??

Mike, I actually have the album, bought it many many years ago. Still have it but not sure how it has stood up to the test of time. Don't have a turntable anymore.
Through the beauty of computers 20 years ago and media software even at that time, I was able to get it down on CD.
Great to hear excerpts from Chris Clark calling some of the games along the way from that senior class year of mine. Narrated by Chris Clark goes through the story of the whole year.
Enjoy!

Ernie fouls out with 30 points in the second half and the Friars extend the lead....that was something to watch...and some of those fouls on Ernie were bogus
Ernie had 4 fouls in the first half.
Not sure seem to remember they were all offensive fouls.

The worse foul call in the history of NCAA hoops was Croshere's 5th against Zona.
He was 20 feet away from the ball
(edit) Just checked and AC was actually near the play but didn't even touch the fouled player(Davidson)......Garces obviously committed the over the back
see for yourself at about 55:20 (http://vimeo.com/64698360)
So glad for the replay system now in effect and I honestly think it should be expanded upon in conference tournaments and the postseason. Also wouldn't mind for more reviews/call reversals in final 10 minutes especially if it's a player picking up his 4th or 5th foul. Give each coach 3 challenges per game that they can use on any call that they feel incorrectly went against them.
works great in the NFL and I loved it last year for MLB.......hate hearing "but the games will be longer" boo friggin hoo
I'd rather the game be 10-15 minutes longer and in return get more accurate officiated contests. Funny I only ever heard this complaint regarding MLB and basketball and not the NFL(where they review just about everything now) where IMO it could/should have been raised with more legitimate concern. I mean isn't it something like 11-12 actual live minutes of football in a 2.5-3.0 hour broadcast? Too much dead ball for me
