The Butler at Seton Hall game has been an entertaining one. Kudos to butler. Makes our win last week in Indy look even better.

Butler with their second road win of the season over Seton Hall in OT...
Butler missing Barlow and RI kid for the OT
Gibbs fouled out with about a minute to go...30 points for him...
This league is going to be a dog fight...
Friars need to protect that home court tomorrow night

Butler is solid.....more important than our win last week is we have a real opportunity to sweep a program we're most likely going to be very close with in the standings.....but we're fooling ourselves if we think we're doing it with that 2nd 1/2 lineup.....

Without the win last week,PC would not have the opportunity about which you are speaking. Are you expecting that lineup to be asked to do it again?

1. Butler really played good m2m defense throughout the game. They do seem well coached.
2. Gibbs was out of his mind for 30 points-with some long 3's.
3. I can't believe how good some of these freshman are in this league--Carrington and Delgado for example.
They really are quite a bit ahead of P.C.'s freshman...at least at this point.

digital.olivesoftware.com/Olive/ODE/ProJo/excerpt Graham tied the game at 51-51 with a 3-pointer after JeQuan Lewis penetrated along the left baseline, but URI responded with a 7-2 run to seemingly retake control. Jarvis Garrett’s steal and Jared Terrell’s dunk on the break made it 58-53 and had the 6,011 fans in attendance rocking. URI managed just one more field goal over the final 3:24, including a frustrating possession with 36.9 seconds left facing a 61-58 deficit. The Rams used a timeout and tried to set up a play for E.C. Matthews off the right wing, but VCU’s Jarred Guest jumped around a screen and caught Matthews with nowhere to go. Matthews, who led URI with 22 points, was whistled for traveling with 15.2 seconds left. Weber’s ensuing free throws on a foul off the inbounds pass made it a two-possession game. “I wanted to shoot it, but I was too far,” Matthews said. “(Guest) closed out too fast.” URI held a 35-28 halftime lead by taking the fight to VCU in the paint and keeping the visiting Rams in check in their usually vaunted transition game. The hosts held a 26-14 advantage near the hoop and an 8-2 edge on the break, taking advantage of two early fouls on Weber that took the sting out of VCU’s vaunted pressure. URI finished with just six turnovers through the opening 20 minutes — they closed with 18 for the game, as Weber played 15 of his 24 minutes in the second half. “I think it made all the difference,” Smart said. “We had to realize that we were okay.” bkoch@providencejournal.com On Twitter: @billkoch25
