The bad part of this equation is that (IMHO) Bentil is more important to the team this year in that his development is farther along. Chukwu is very much a work in progress.

PC loses Rodney Bullock for season with knee injury

PROVIDENCE – It will take another year for Rodney Bullock’s college basketball career to begin. Providence College coach Ed Cooley said Wednesday that Bullock has torn his ACL and will miss the upcoming season. The 6-7 redshirt freshman from Virginia was expected to challenge for a starting position for the Friars.
“I feel awful for Rodney. It’s very unfortunate,” Cooley said. “He’s had a rough go of it here but he’s committed to working on his academics and rehabbing and coming back with us next year.”
Bullock sat out his freshman season after being suspended by PC for his role in an on-campus sexual assault investigation. The case was turned over to the state attorney general’s office and brought to a statewide grand jury which found insufficient evidence to bring any charges against Bullock. During the team’s summer practices and three-game trip to Italy in August, Bullock impressed with his toughness and ability to score both inside and out. He looked good at the start of fall workouts but three days into the start of official practices, he dove for a loose ball and injured his knee. Cooley said the play was “an aggressive play but nothing you’d expect someone to hurt a knee like he did.”
Cooley has some depth in his frontcourt this season with starters LaDontae Henton and Tyler Harris returning. Freshman Jalen Lindsay and Ben Bentil also will see major minutes at the forward position.

Odds that Bullock is sitting on the bench come 2nd semester in late Dec.? Did you see the quote from Cooley? Who knows but that was good to see. Don't know if he'd want to sit out any more time come next year if he did transfer.

"are you people just looking for anything else bad that could happen"?
Well if you mean a future article about how Bentil didn't get cleared to play by the NCAA, then yes, I can see something else bad that can happen.

Hope not... @pcbb1917: Cooley on Bentil getting cleared by the NCAA Clearinghouse: "We feel very optimistic...he'll get a full clear..." #pcbb #gofriars

amazing how you people misinterpret simple sentences. the above meant that some of you seemingly want to create more to a story than just the face value. rajay is out for the season, so let's see if we can translate that to mean he will leave the school. such foolishness. he will recover, and come back stronger than ever next season.

And...it would be half the year, or really not even as the 1st semester expires before Xmas. So we are talking maybe he misses 10 more games to get a clean slate. For the record quote from Cooley means jack sh!t. What else would he say? And to ballboy...how do Donnell Allick, Mark Jarrell-Wright, Leon Brisport, David Murray and Jamal Camah look in practice. I miss your glowing reports. By the way did you ever get that ride to Lowell that you were looking for back in '02?

Not only that, but sometimes a torn ACL can negatively affect your playing ability. When he returns will he be the same player?
