It's too bad but the recurring theme is Bryce is too small for the NBA, even tho it appears he plays well enough to be on an NBA roster. "* Feel bad for Bryce Cotton, who obviously has NBA skills but just not the size at 5-10, the one thing he has no control over. In addition to a long-range two, he threw down a monster dunk right before the final buzzer that drew the biggest roar of the night. " blog.mysanantonio.com/spursnation/2014/10/01/live-spurs-scrimmage/I believe he hit a 3 also and ended up with 7 pts. and 3 assist.. ....gotta love friartown... ..i have no idea... ..haven't seen a minute...

That is why the Spurs are a good team to try out for. They have a great organization and do not care what others think. If they think you can play, they will give you an opportunity.

www.providencejournal.com/sports/celtics/content/20141021-celtics-to-waive-erik-murphy.eceCeltics to waive Erik Murphy; Ledo, Cotton fighting for roster spots Published: October 21, 2014 11:53 AM BY KEVIN MCNAMARA kmcnamar@providencejournal.com The Boston Celtics are expected officially waive South Kingstown’s Erik Murphy in the next day, according to comments made today before practice by coach Brad Stevens. Stevens told reporters Tuesday that the team will waive Murphy, Christian Watford, Tim Frazier and Rodney McGruder to reduce the roster to 16, or one over the limit. Dwight Powell, a big forward traded to Boston along with Murphy by the Cleveland Cavaliers a month ago, is still with the team and could find his way onto the roster. “All four of those guys will be waived and they’ve been great. I wish I didn’t have to waive them, they’ve been great teammates, they’ve put in extra work, they’ve come back in small groups and worked,” Stevens said. “A couple of them had made mention that they’ve gotten better and that makes me feel good. They were all real professionals about it. I will root for them for sure.” Murphy, who spent most of last season with the Chicago Bulls, saw next to no time in Boston’s exhibition schedule. He could stay with the Celtics and play with their team in Maine in the NBDL but the 6-10 shooting forward is also a candidate to find a deal with a European team. Two other players with local ties are also fighting to make their way onto NBA squads. Providence’s Ricky Ledo has enjoyed some good minutes with the Dallas Mavericks and is seen as a strong candidate to make the team since he has a guaranteed contract for this season. Providence College’s Bryce Cotton has struggled in his limited time with the San Antonio Spurs but the team is thin at point guard and Cotton could make the team. On Twitter: @kevinmcnamara33
