www.coxhub.com/articles/who-is-javon-taylor-interview-with-pcs-2017-recruit?utm_content=7521750&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitterTaylor is already a big guard. He has good size at 6-foot-3, enough handle to facilitate offense, and terrific court vision and passing skills. He’s not yet explosive at this stage of his physical development but he’s very smooth. While he’s skilled in his passing ability, he will need to become a more consistent outside shooter. Taylor is a long-term stock. He’s not yet ready to dominate a high level game like some of his peers in the 2017 class but his long-term upside was promising enough for Providence to secure a commitment just one year into his high school career. Had the Friars opted to wait and see if Taylor fulfilled his full potential they likely would have found themselves with loads of competition. Instead, they not only get a private front-row seat to his development for the next three years, but they also get to become an active part of the process while simultaneously shutting out would-be future competitors. More, plus video at the link above.
