Rock,
I only care about PC. Can't be any clearer than that. I don't care if someone screwed another program. If those transfers want to come and be a Friar, God bless them. Those that leave rob me, and therefore my honest opinion.
He screwed us by leaving soooooooo SCREW HIM!

Did we screw him by recruiting mason?....he owes us nothing....we owe him nothing....he's required to give a statement for us experts can translate it to what he really meant?....sure.
Thump - is pc ever in the wrong?

My chitty posts without the blinders must be tough for a Thump like you.....josh fortune banging threes against sju in mid march and he's a great kid....but decides to transfer from the almighty pc and screw him....don't remember reading your post screwing Bryce Kofane....both reported to be great kids with solid grades....the difference?....

I'll weigh in here... Josh Fortune's decision has come extremely late, leaving Ed Cooley little to know time to find a quality shooter to fill in the void that's been left.

That may be the case walk, but Ed Cooley and Brice had that discussion a couple of months back - leaving Brice time to choose among the schools that had open scholarships. On the other hand, the timing of Josh's announcement has left Ed Cooley with little to no time to fill that void that's now been created.

Terrible timing by J. Fortune... Random transfers are part of the new landscape.. we accept transfers have to expect kids to transfer out also.. its gonna happen..Bad timing is the only thing wrong with this move as it has left PC in a pinch..
....gotta love friartown...

Walk,
You lost me on this comparison,...no similarities whatsoever to a kid getting his degree and mutually coming to a decision with coach to use his last year of eligibility a level below in order to play more and a kid leaving after starting for 2 years....after the school year has ended.

Another wrinkle in this is that maybe Josh HAS been talking to the coaching staff about transferring for some time.
Either way Cooley has been recruiting guards hard over the past few months and had some swings and misses.
Cooley may have hoped that Josh would change his mind like Cotton did but in this case it didn't work out.
The point is that in this case just like the Austin/Bullock debacle....it's hard to really know what ALL the facts are.

I understand how common transfers are, but how common is it for a kid averaging 30+ MPG coming off a tournament championship and NCAA Tourney appearance? Can't be too common unless the kid is jumping from a low major to high major.

Can't be too common unless the kid is jumping from a low major to high major. That is what Josh thinks he is doing. And no, coach did not know about this and everyone thought we needef need more guards so what was the surprise? Josh might have seen some play at the one because his summer program was to improve his handle.
