I guess Gerard considers Georgetown, KY as being in the Northeast.

I guess Gerard considers Georgetown, KY as being in the Northeast. Didn't get his degree so he couldn't transfer to a D1 school and play.

Poor decisions = opportunities lost
Such a waste to have spent 4-years (edited)on college campuses, and not have a degree at this point. Kids and those who are "advising" them need to recognize the value of a free college education and take advantage of the opportunity earn the degree.

The Coleman saga should be Exhibit A to young kids convinced the grass is greener elsewhere, and then elsewhere and then elsewhere. The tragedy in this is that both PC and Coleman lost in this misadventure. I doubt Fortune sees a similar fate but there are some pointed similarities, academics notwithstanding of course.

Two years at Providence, then he had to sit out a year following transfer, before playing last season for Zaga. Unless I'm mistaken, that's 4 years of college (?)

You were mistaken in your previous post which suggested that Coleman had 5 years on a campus with no degree...semantics perhaps, but no need to kick a guy when he is down.

In the event that it came across that way, know that it wasn't my intent to kick Coleman when he was down. Rather, it was a generalized statement about lost opportunities.
Gerald owes me and the Program nothing.

but no need to kick a guy when he is down. Kid? Isn't he 25 now? And is he being "down" anyone's fault other than his own? And is he really, in fact, down? Bad decisions, sure, but if he ends up with a degree (and no student loans) and some money over in Europe or Asia then his only "down" is it all could have been a much easier, more glorious road (read: here at PC). Oh well....

Did Leo Papile tell Gerard he was signing with "Georgetown"?

Um.... When did I call him a kid? My bad, the word kick got stuck in my mind as kid so I missed the word guy. You have now learned first hand the darkness that is my very limited intellect.
